Original coloured pencil drawing of a Nightjar.
These strange (but beautiful) birds spend their summers on our lowland heaths. During the day they roost along branches on trees, or on the ground - their cryptic plumage providing the perfect camourflage amongst the bark, heath and heather.
At dusk they can be heard churring before they take flight, hunting for flying insects and moths beneath the moonlight.
This original drawing is the perfect gift for bird watchers, bird ringers, ornithologists, and fans of the natural world and British wildlife.
